Quick Repeat Scripts and Referrals

THIS IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR DR WINTER'S PATIENTS ONLY

Existing patients may request a repeat prescription or repeat referral without a consultation online through HotDoc.

This service is only available for existing patients who has seen your regular doctor within the last twelve (12) months and is for a request to obtain a repeat prescription or referral, that is you must have obtained this prescription or referral from your doctor previously.

Repeat prescriptions for addictive medication including benzodiazepines and opiates, pain medication, sleeping pills or an antibiotic are not provided using this service. Please make an appointment with your regular doctor.

How does it work?

You can request a repeat prescription or referral from your regular doctor online via our website or through HotDoc. Please note not all our doctors provide this service.

You will need to provide the name and dose of the medication required/name of specialist. Please note referrals can not be backdated.

You also need to nominate how you wish to receive your request:

• Email - sent as an electronic prescription (eScript)/electronic referral;

• Pick up from the practice.

Each prescription request is assessed by your doctor who will decide if an ongoing prescription is appropriate and safe. If the request is declined, you will be advised by SMS to make an appointment.

Requests may take several business days to be processed and is subject to your regular doctor working on the day of receiving the request and having approved the request on clinical grounds.

Fees

A private fee of $25.00 will be charged for each request (not medicare rebateable).

The fee associated with each request is payable when the request is submitted. If your request is declined, you will receive an automatic refund within several business days.
